Don Thompson

Thomas R. Brown, age 71 of Searcy, died Saturday, November 10, 2007 in Searcy. He was born Tuesday, September 15, 1936 in Searcy to Chester Dennis Brown and Laura (James) Brown.

He was a high school counselor for many years and a member of the College Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Brown of Searcy; one son, Patrick D. Brown and wife Donna of Searcy; one daughter, Susan Brandon and husband Peter of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Tessa Brown, Taryn Brown, Hannah Brandon; and two brothers, Chester Alvis Brown of Memphis and James Donald Brown of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Laura Brown; and two sisters, Mary Sigler and Dorothy Clark. Visitation is Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at White County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to the Harding University Scholarship Fund or the Searcy Childrens Home.
