Blessed with magnificent leadership

E.D. Yancey died on Friday, Nov. 2. He died peacefully in his home surrounded by family and friends. At his memorial service, Reynie Rutledge remarked, “We have come to the end of an era. For 75 years the Yancey family has been involved in banking, real estate interests and the construction business in Searcy. He was a business leader, community leader, political leader and church leader. He was born with a gift for leadership. He exercised that gift with grace, dignity, honor and honesty. This city is better because he lived among us."
