CLASS OF 56 - THE BIG 50th - Part 7

It's not that I lied, but my 4th of July did NOT go at all as I expected ... plus, I found a few more of my photos from the evening of July 1st, and we'll do those before we get to Mary Kay's take on the Reunion:
Our door prize drawing was one of the high spots of the
evening, and Mary Kathryn Van Patten James was
in charge.

One of the most anticipated items was this wooden
bowl, hand-turned by Robert Miller.

Among the other door prize offerings were cash (surplus from the reunion funds), dry flowers in a beautiful vase, ten 2-CD sets of 48 songs from our high school years ... and a free night in the Honeymoon Suite at Draxie's Rogers Sunnyside Inn in Eureka Springs, a $145 value. The thought of Jimmy Don Jackson in a honeymoon suite rather boggles the mind, but that's who won it.

All-in-all, there were 20 nice prizes going to the grads.

Next thing here WILL be MK's photos of the Reunion .. promise!
